Tube Facts: Croxley

It’s time for another Tube Facts. We check out Croxley now….

Did you know a small number of trains from Rickmansworth actually serve Croxley? It uses the north curve of the Metropolitan line between Rickmansworth and Croxley – the curve even has a tunnel section which is only 80 metres long making it officially the shortest tunnel on the whole London Underground.

However, only three passenger trains actually go round the north curve. And they are as follows (at the time of this blog post):

  • 05:16 – Chesham to Watford
  • 06:08 – Rickmansworth to Watford
  • 00:49 – Watford to Rickmansworth

If you plan to do these trips, good luck!
