The Very Best of Neil Diamond: The Original Studio Recordings is a compilation album that was released in 2011 by Columbia Records. As the name suggests it contains 23 studio recordings of Diamond’s greatest hits. The promotional video states that all Diamond’s “all time greatest hits for the first time on 1 CD” – although there have been other compilation CDs with studio recordings, this is all his hits up to this point.
Although the compilation album only reached US #45 on the Billboard Charts, it did well in the UK, reaching #5 in the UK Albums chart and reaching Platinum status.
The compilation album was also released in a limited box set edition which contained five photo postcards of Diamond as well as the album itself.
